Two University of Winnipeg Students Presenting at the 2015 Canadian Society for the Study of Comics Conference
Two students from the University of Winnipeg are delivering papers on graphic biographies at the upcoming conference of the Canadian Society for the Study of Comics/Société canadienne pour l'étude de la bande dessinée.
Emily Wilson (who is graduating with an Honours BA in English and going on to MA studies in the Department of English at York University in Toronto) is presenting a paper titled "Hyperability: The Superhero Influence and Disability in Box Brown’s Andre the Giant: Life and Legend."
Vanessa Nunes (who is completing her MA in Cultural Studies and going on to PhD studies in the Department of English at the University of Manitoba) is presenting a paper titled, "The Photographer as Witness in Picture a Favela."
